Play responsibly
This is entertainment that costs money, in the same way going out costs money. It is not a way to make a living, and treating it as one is where people get hurt.
You will lose sometimes. Every game here has chance in it. Only ever stake money you can afford to lose entirely.
Keeping it under control
- Decide what you will spend before you start, and stop when you reach it — not when you feel like stopping.
- Never stake money that is meant for something else. Rent, food, school fees, transport.
- Do not chase losses. Playing on to win back what you lost is the single most common way a bad evening becomes a serious problem.
- Do not play to solve a money problem. It reliably makes the problem worse.
- Do not play when upset or drinking.
- Take breaks. Use the free practice matches.
Signs worth taking seriously
Any of these is a reason to stop and talk to someone:
- Playing for longer or for more than you intended, repeatedly.
- Hiding how much you play, or lying about it.
- Borrowing money, or selling things, to keep playing.
- Feeling anxious or irritable when you cannot play.
- Missing work, study or family time because of it.
- Believing you are "due" a win.
Strictly 18 and over
You must be at least 18 to hold an account. Accounts found to belong to someone underage are closed and stakes returned. Do not let anyone under 18 use your account.
Taking a break
If you want to stop for a while, or permanently, contact support and ask. We will close or suspend your account, and any balance is returned to you. You do not have to explain why.
Where to get help
If gambling is affecting your life, talk to someone. A doctor, a counsellor, or a national gambling helpline can all help, and doing it early is far easier than doing it late.
Tell someone you trust as well. Problem gambling is much harder to face alone, and there is nothing shameful about it.
